tommy roberts – lead pastor
Tommy Roberts is the Senior Pastor of LifePointe Christian Faith Center. Since 1992, Tommy has been actively teaching people within the local church how to live by faith. He has ministered in many churches throughout the United States and the country of Haiti. He is a passionate and insightful teacher, who delivers the Word of God with ease and simplicity.
God has used Tommy to help rejuvenate those who have been turned off or burned out due to religious tradition, those who have strayed in their walk with God, as well as Christians who desire to hear God’s Word delivered in everyday terms.
Tommy along with his wife Lynette has served tirelessly in church and youth ministry for many years. His past assignments include those of Associate Elder and Youth pastor at Covenant Community Fellowship Church, W-S, NC. Assistant Pastor of Friendship C.O.G.I.C. , Friendship, N.Y., State President of Youth Ministries (Y.P.W.W.) C.O.G.I.C. Jurisdiction #2 of Western N.Y. and most recently Director of Student Ministries/Youth Pastor of Heritage of Faith Christian Center, Crowley, TX.
In November of 2008, God placed a desire in Tommy and Lynette Roberts to move to Iowa City to assist the founding Pastors with their church plant efforts. Out of this move and the ministry transition that came in 2010, Pastor Tommy was installed as the Senior Pastor of LifePointe Christian Faith Center on July 25th, 2010.
